Uses & Benefits of DI Water Valves

DI water valves

Deionized water, or “DI water” is a mineral-free solution that absorbs ions on contact, eliminating calcified and corrosive buildup. It is used to clean, lubricate, dilute, and cool process media in high-purity systems without introducing contaminants. iPolymer DI water valves are ideal for semiconductor, biomedical, and food and beverage manufacturing, in which ultra-pure water is required to flow in a control passage.

DI WATER VALVES | FEATURES AND BENEFITS

iPolymer DI water valves are perfect 2-way valves for wet bench manufacturers. The DI water valve wetted flow path is free of lubricants, elastomers and springs.

Construction includes three options for body, piston and cap assembly: PVC, Polypropylene and PVDF. For the highest level of chemical inertness and overall fluid handling performance, all three configurations include 100% Virgin PTFE for the bellows and backing plate construction. O-ring seal options include EPDM or Viton. Every DI valve comes standard with high-performance stainless steel actuation springs.

Depending on the model chosen, the DI valve is actuated pneumatically to close or open.

DI Water Systems

At iPolymer, we manufacture numerous products for purified water processing and DI water systems. Within these systems we apply high-purity polymers that don’t introduce ion particles in the water flow path. The use of these polymers prevents the development and spread of bacteria and viruses and facilitates excellent chemical inertness within the media.
