PTFE Solenoid Valves Features and Applications

PTFE Solenoid Valve

The all-virgin PTFE wetted surface design of iPolymer’s PTFE solenoid valve line is ideally suited for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biomedical and chemical process applications.

Configurable with a PTFE hard seat, FKM-Viton O-ring seat or FFKM-Kalrez O-ring seat, our valves provide unsurpassed chemical compatibility with a wide range of flow media. The all-wetted PTFE body, valve stem and one-piece diaphragm maintain a material inert boundary for ultra-clean applications.

Features:

  • PTFE design optimized for ultra clean and chemical compatibility.
  • Configurations available for various DC & AC voltages.
  • Fast, accurate and repeatable coil response time from proven technology.
  • Continuous Duty Cycle Rated at controlled ambient temperatures.
  • Designed for positive flushing and bubble-tight shut off.
  • Diaphragm configured to completely isolate solenoid coil from media.
  • Coil Driven; does not require energizing pressure or vacuum to operate.
  • O-ring seat configurations for vacuum and complex media applications.
  • Designed for aggressive media and elevated temperature.

Applications:

PTFE solenoid valves are a special class of solenoid valves, primarily used with high-purity media (DI water, purified water or high purity chemistry) or highly corrosive media (high and low pH chemistries typically strong acids or chemical blends)—and often side-by-side with PTFE pumps, PTFE check valves, and PTFE tubing, fittings and other devices.

Common industries and applications include: chemical processing, bio-medical fields, waste water treatment, pharmaceutical manufacturing and other ultra-low leak applications.
